Fuller, your made-up anecdotes are very moving but a bit out of focus. Why not view the situation from those of us who pray every day for the thousands of children who, because of your patriarchal laws, are born into a society where there are no safety nets, where they are more attended to before they become a person than afterward. We, who work in the world of what you would call socialism, we call social justice, are helping the abused, neglected poverty-stricken families overlooked by the most conservative evangelical Republicans in our state.
