Ferraro notched an assist, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Stars. Ferraro logged 21:54 of ice time in his return from a 15-game absence due to a broken leg. He ended up returning about a week earlier than initially expected -- impressive, considering the Sharks had little need to rush him back. Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Exits Saturday's contest

Ferraro (lower body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Bruins. Ferraro needed help getting to the locker room after an awkward fall in the second period. The Sharks are already missing Erik Karlsson (forearm), Jaycob Megna (foot) and Nicolas Meloche (undisclosed) on their blue line, so any absence for Ferraro would be tough to weather. If he can't play Sunday versus the Kraken, expect the Sharks to make a recall from AHL San Jose.

Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Returning Tuesday

Ferraro (mouth) will be in the lineup to face the Lightning on Tuesday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. Ferraro missed just one game after taking a puck to the face versus the Panthers on Saturday. Considering he has just one point in his last 22 outings, the blueliner's return is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players. Still, in formats that utilize defensive stats, the Toronto native could offer some value having racked up 89 hits and 110 blocks in 41 games this season.
