Prattville Councilman Marcus Jackson's misdemeanor menacing charge to be dropped

PRATTVILLE — Misdemeanor menacing charges against Prattville City Councilman Marcus Jackson will be dismissed if he abides by the court's orders. An agreement was entered Tuesday before a hearing was to begin in Prattville Municipal Court where Jackson agreed to take anger management classes, pay court costs of $492, a fine of $100 and have no contact with a female relative in the case who filed the charge.

Prattville Councilor Marcus Jackson Appointed to Serve on National League of Cities’ REAL Council

Washington D.C. — Councilor Marcus Jackson of Prattville, Alabama has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2022 Race, Equity and Leadership (REAL) Council. Councilor Jackson was elected to a one-year term to develop and guide programs among local elected officials from similar communities. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor Vince Williams of Union City, Georgia.
