Canadiens' Madison Bowey: Earns two-way deal

Bowey signed a one-year, two-way contract with Montreal on Wednesday. Bowey has played in just four NHL games over the past two seasons, so it's fairly safe to assume he will spend the bulk of the upcoming campaign in the minors as well. Canucks' Madison Bowey: Sent down Saturday

Bowey was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday. Bowey did not appear in a game despite being with the Canucks for the last eight contests. He'll continue to provide organizational depth on defense. Bowey's move to Abbotsford suggests one of Kyle Burroughs (upper body) or Tucker Poolman (illness) could be set to return soon.

Canucks' Madison Bowey: Sent to AHL

Bowey was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Monday. With Travis Hamonic back on the roster after skipping the team's road trip to the United States, Bowey's services are no longer needed. Bowey appeared in two games on the road trip and will be a candidate for playing time any time the Canucks head south of the Canadian border due to Hamonic's unvaccinated status.

The Canucks recalled Bowey from AHL Abbotsford on Friday. Bowey hasn't appeared in the NHL this season and only played two games with the Blackhawks last year. The 26-year-old figures to serve as defensive depth for however long he remains with the Canucks.
