Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Back to 100 percent in 2-3 months

Dort (shoulder) said Tuesday that his rehab is going well, and he'll be back to 100 percent in two or three months, Rylan Stiles of reports. Dort underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder at the beginning of March, which ended his 2021-22 campaign. The 22-year-old averaged 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 32.6 minutes per game across 51 appearances. Given the two-to-three month timeline, Dort shouldn't have any limitations heading into the 2022-23 season, which is the final year of his three-year deal with Oklahoma City.

Luguentz Dort injury update: Thunder forward out for remainder of season after left shoulder surgery

The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Tuesday evening that forward Luguentz Dort will be out for the remainder of the season after having surgery to repair a labrum tear in his left shoulder. Dort, who had been sidelined since Feb. 12 with a shoulder injury, underwent surgery in Los Angeles with Thunder medical personnel present. Though he'll be out for the remainder of the season, he's expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of the 2022-23 season.

Dort has been sidelined the past eight games by the injury and will now be unavailable for the final month of the season. The 22-year-old finishes the campaign with averages of 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.9 steals in 32.6 minutes over 51 games, and he's expected to be fully recovered for the start of the 2022-23 season. Tre Mann, Aaron Wiggins and Aleksej Pokusevski should continue seeing increased run down the stretch for the Thunder.
