Lori Petty is an American TV and film actress, best known for her films ‘Point Break’ and ‘A League of Their Own.’ Recently, she was lauded for her appearances in the series ‘Orange Is the New Black’ and ‘Prison Break.’ She started her career as a graphic designer and made her acting debut with the 1986 TV series ‘The Twilight Zone’ and the 1988 short film ‘...They Haven’t Seen This…’ She then did small roles in a number of TV shows and films, such as ‘The Line,’ ‘Head of the Class,’ and ‘Alien Nation.’ She shot to national fame with the TV series ‘Booker’ and followed it up with a major stint in the 1991 thriller ‘Point Break.’ She embarked on a successful career in the entertainment industry with her consecutive hits ‘Route 666,’ ‘Broken Arrows,’ and ‘The Poker House.’ In 2014, she appeared in the ‘Netflix’ series ‘Orange is the New Black,’ which proved that she was a charming actor. She also had a critically acclaimed run as a director in the film ‘The Poker House,’ which was somewhat biographical.
