Brown becomes the 12th overall Gator and the ninth Florida player to enter the College Football Hall of Fame. Las Vegas — Former University of Florida offensive tackle Lomas Brown was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame Tuesday during the 63rd National Football Foundation Annual Awards Dinners in Las Vegas.

Lomas Brown is FSU "Mr. Two Bits"

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — So the next few weeks figure to be awfully satisfying, humbling and nostalgic for Lomas Brown. The greatest offensive lineman in University of Florida history was inducted into the College Hall of Fame's Class of 2020, but the in-person ceremony was canceled due to COVID. As a makeup, the National Football Foundation will hold a banquet Dec. 7 in Las Vegas honoring the classes of both '20 and '21. As part of that NFF tribute, Brown will be recognized with a salute between quarters Saturday during Florida's rivalry showdown against Florida State at Spurrier/Florida Field.

The 1991 Detroit Lions are the franchise’s most successful team over the last nearly six decades, and three participants in that run recently had a chance to reminisce. In the Super Bowl era, just one Detroit Lions team has won a playoff game. That of course is the 1991 team, led by a sampling of the best players in franchise history (Barry Sanders, Chris Spielman, Lomas Brown, Herman Moore). Coached by Wayne Fontes, that team went 12-4, won the then-NFC Central and reached the NFC Championship Game.
