Logan Sargeant will make his prototype sportscar racing debut in the European Le Mans Series’ Red Bull Ring 4 Hours this weekend. The American, who was the FIA Formula 3 Championship runner-up in 2020 and has returned to the series last-minute this year with Charouz Racing System, will race for the TF Sport-run Racing Team Turkey squad in a Oreca 07 LMP2 car.

FIA Formula 3 Championship star Logan Sargeant is weighing up a switch to sports-prototype or GT racing because he is short of budget to continue in open-wheel racing. Sargeant lost out on the FIA F3 title on the very last day of the season last year in a dramatic finale at Mugello, and fell to third in the points as Prema Racing teammate Oscar Piastri was crowned champion and Theo Pourchaire snatched the runner-up spot.
