Aliyah Boston of South Carolina Named Lisa Leslie Award Winner as Women’s College Basketball’s Top Center

Hoophall has announced the Lisa Leslie Award for the nation’s top center, awarded to Aliyah Boston of the University of South Carolina. Boston is a repeat winner from 2020. David Keech is a math teacher in Wisconsin Rapids and public address announcer for Abbotsord High School. He officiates basketball, baseball, and softball in central Wisconsin. COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - For the second time in as many seasons, South Carolina women’s basketball sophomore Aliyah Boston earned a spot on the Naismith Starting Five as the winner of the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award, the Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced today. Already the second Gamecock to claim the award, Boston becomes its first repeat winner.

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas women's basketball junior forward/center Charli Collier was named to the Top 10 Watch List for the 2021 Lisa Leslie Award, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Friday. Now in its fourth year, the award recognizes the top center in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
