Book Review: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

I really enjoyed “The Husband’s Secret” by Liane Moriarty. Cecilia Fitzpatrick’s life is going pretty well. She has a gorgeous, successful husband, three fantastic daughters, is a top seller of Tupperware, and highly involved and influential at her daughters’ school. Her life is as neat and tidy as her home until she finds a letter addressed to her in her husband’s handwriting, “My darling Cecilia, if you are reading this, then I have died…” The moment she read the letter her life changed and would never be the same.

Book Review: 9 Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

I watched “9 Perfect Strangers” on Hulu and mentioned it to my aunt who is an avid reader. She told me that she had gotten the book by Liane Moriarty from the library and couldn’t finish it before the due date, which never happens to her. She said that it was a terribly boring book. I glanced through a few reviews and many people said that while others claimed it was “her best work yet!”

Liane Moriarty Doesn’t Want You to Call Her a Thriller Writer

Liane Moriarty’s books are known for their twists: the devoted father hiding a penchant for abuse, the innocent daughter taking the fall for her parents’ indiscretions, the revered wellness guru secretly on a mission to reconnect with her late daughter. Since the release of her first novel, Three Wishes, in 2003, the Australian author has earned a reputation for delivering the kind of gasp-inducing endings that make for frenzied book clubs or, in the case of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, must-see TV. While Moriarty’s talent for suspense could make Christopher Nolan jealous, she doesn’t view her books as thrillers — in fact, she’d prefer if you kept the word entirely out of the conversation.

Book review (fiction): Liane Moriarty hits an ace with 'Apples Never Fall'

Who knew there were so many tennis metaphors for life? Australian novelist Liane Moriarty shares them all and probably creates a few in “Apples Never Fall.”. Meet the Delaneys, who are sure to be an A-List ensemble cast in the years ahead: We have Stan, stoic patriarch and erstwhile tennis coach, and his wife, Joy, his doubles partner on the court and in life, who managed the family tennis academy for years. She now is trying to “retire with grace” and longing for grandchildren. They have four adult children — Troy, Brooke, Logan and Amy — whose childhoods were dominated by the sport that paid all the family’s bills, but who now earn a living outside tennis.

Liane Moriarty: ‘I’m sure my books are probably too white’

Liane Moriarty has the Midas touch when it comes to attracting A-listers. The Australian author’s novels Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers have become prestige drama gold, adapted into a Golden Globe-scooping series and a Hulu main event, respectively. Even the biggest names don’t need asking twice.“I’m so spoilt that I asked for Melissa and got Melissa,” she chuckles, as in McCarthy, who stars in Nine Perfect Strangers. “And I asked for Meryl and got Meryl.” She of course means Streep, who was gleefully sinister as meddling mother-in-law Mary-Louise in the second series of Big Little Lies. Now Nicole...
