Larry Donnell Nance Jr. (born January 1, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Wyoming, where he was considered one of the best big men in the Mountain West Conference after leading the 2014–15 Wyoming Cowboys to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002. Nance was drafted 27th overall in the 2015 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. In February 2018, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Larry Nance Sr. is a legendary former NBA player, perhaps best known among longtime basketball fans as the soaring winner of the league’s first-ever dunk contest in 1984, an epic, star-studded affair in which he beat out a hoops superhero field featuring Hall of Famers Julius Erving, Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins. Nance retired from the game in 1994, but handed down those aerial genes to his son, Larry Jr.

Following two-plus seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and three-plus years with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Nance Jr. was traded to the Trail Blazers in August 2021 as part of a three-team deal that also included the Chicago Bulls. The blockbuster sent former first team All-Rookie Lauri Markkanen from Chicago to Cleveland and Derrick Jones Jr. from Portland to Chicago as well, and included a host of future draft selections.
