The idea that the Inflation Reduction Act reduces inflation is 'something out of George Orwell': Larry Kudlow

FOX Business host Larry Kudlow deemed the Inflation Reduction Act's name to be Orwellian on "Hannity." KUDLOW: The idea that it's inflation reduction is something out of George Orwell. It's not. By the way, the CBO came out with a preliminary scorecard, just preliminary stuff. But actually, the deficit gets worse for the next four years until it gets better after that. But, the getting better is full of gimmicks. So I don't believe a word of it. And anybody who thinks more federal spending is not inflationary, or all these tax hikes, as you say - they're middle class tax hikes, I agree with that - pretty much across the board tax hikes. The business tax hikes, Sean, are going to be brutal and will have a bad impact on real wages and typical family incomes. So, they're boosting federal spending on the demand side. They're killing the supply side because of the taxes. It's a terrible mix. We shouldn't be doing it. The whole bill is a monstrosity.

Larry Kudlow: These tax hikes slam everybody across the board

Save America. Kill the bill. The more America learns about this Manchin-Schumer special, the less America likes it. More spending will increase inflation. Higher taxes will deepen the recession. That's just common sense. A new poll in Arizona, which happens to be Sen. Kyrsten Sinema's home state, shows 53% of...

Larry Kudlow: Tax hikes will sink recession deeper

If you're in a recession, it makes no sense at all to be raising taxes. That used to be a common sense point of view, shared by liberals and conservatives, Keynesians and supply-siders, but no more. In our topsy-turvy Biden world, where true is false, false is always false, recessions...

Larry Kudlow lays out how Biden can fix his shrinking economy

Fox Business Larry Kudlow detailed how President Biden can fix the shrinking economy on Thursday's "Hannity," criticizing his excessive spending and war against fossil fuels. LARRY KUDLOW: It's all it's all phony baloney and malarkey coming out of the White House. Everybody knows this. Look, actually, the numbers today. You had your second straight quarterly decline, but they were worse than the first quarter. And the inflation rate, Sean, was 8.9%. So it's a bad combination. Actually I thought you were going to ask me, have you ever seen a swing down this fast? I mean Biden in 18 months, right, he took a strong economy, growing at 6% with less than 2% inflation and in 18 months turned that into a high inflation recession, essentially stagflation. And just a year and a half. It's really quite remarkable.

Larry Kudlow: A breakdown of America First Policy Institute's efforts to rejuvenate America

Looking at the polls, whether liberal, conservative or someplace in between, it's very clear that the country has rejected Joe Biden's administration and his radical big government socialist policies of massive federal spending, extreme nutty climate activism, taxing the wealthy, the successful and all businesses, attempts at what Steve Forbes calls "modern socialism by using the regulatory state," and inflationary money.

Larry Kudlow: Where's the domestic spending freeze we need?

So, we know that the Biden Democrats' attempts to radically transform the American economy and culture for that matter, has led to sky-high inflation, economic contraction and overall demoralization in just 18 months. The radical progressive experiment has once again failed. Show me a poll, any poll, and I'll show...

Larry Kudlow on China chips bill: We should not imitate China's big government, central planning communism

Folks, I hate to beat a dead horse, but tonight I'm going to beat a dead horse, with all respect to horses. Tonight's horse is the $250 billion industrial policy, corporate welfare, picking winners-and-losers, Chuck Schumer bait-and-switch. Schumer turned a procedural motion vote into a massive political pork barrel spending bill and 16 Republican senators fell for it.

Larry Kudlow: Manchin has pulled his punches slightly

I know that Senator Manchin has pulled his punches slightly by suggesting that he won't make a final decision on Senator Chuck Schumer's trillion-dollar tax and spend bill until he gets a look at the August inflation and economic story, but frankly I think the West Virginian has in fact pulled the plug and is saying no tax hikes or climate spending, which brings to mind this passage from one of my favorite movies, The Godfather Part II:

Larry Kudlow: We're on the front end of recession

So many people, I suspect, agree with Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who seems to expect that inflation has peaked, and it's on the way down and our troubles are virtually over. KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: We expect the headline number, which includes gas and food, to be highly elevated, mainly because...
