Celtic have been handed a major boost ahead of Sunday’s trip to Ibrox with the news that Kyogo Furuhashi and Tom Rogic will be available to face Rangers. The only player who will be missing for the cinch Premiership leaders is James Forrest, who sits out again with a minor muscle problem.

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi and midfielder Tom Rogic are in contention for Sunday's Old Firm game at Ibrox after recovering from injury. Kyogo has been out since December with a hamstring problem and Rogic missed Australia's recent internationals, but manager Ange Postecoglou revealed both players are squad for the game against Rangers, with Daizen Maeda also available again.

Celtic were handed a huge blow when Kyogo Furuhashi suffered an injury in the last game before the winter break. The Japanese star was not believed to be 100 per cent at that time anyway, although, the initial belief was that it was not a very serious problem and he would be back in action after the winter break. As it turns out, it has now been months since he was forced off the pitch and has not been back since.

While things are looking up for Celtic at the moment, with the club returning to the top of the Scottish Premiership, they have a big worry as well surrounding the injury situation of Kyogo Furuhashi. The Japanese star has arguably been their best player this season but has been struggling with fitness issues for a while and it goes without saying that fans are hoping to see him back as soon as possible.

While things are looking up for Celtic at the moment, with a number of new signings arriving and settling in well, and a number of players recovering from their injury problems over the winter break, the situation surrounding Kyogo Furuhashi continues to remain a major worry for the club. And at the moment, it is unclear when the Japanese star will be back in action again.
