Exit Interview 2022: Kramer Robertson

One of our regular offseason traditions is the Exit Interview, where we look back at each player that got into a game for the St. Louis Cardinals in the past season. This is the 11th season we’ve done this and it’s a good way to get a view of the whole year, not just a short stretch of games. It’s sort of like a performance review before the players went off to their offseason work, spending a little time with Oli Marmol and going over what went right, what went wrong. Stats and grades are only for a player’s time in St. Louis, though splits numbers may include other teams. As always, my sincere thanks to the legend of cardinalsgifs for providing the header image!

Mets' Kramer Robertson: Finds work in new organization

The Mets claimed Robertson off waivers from Atlanta on Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. Though Atlanta never officially announced Robertson was designated for assignment, the 27-year-old was apparently exposed to waivers at some point within the past few days and ultimately landed in a new organization. New York marks the third stop in less than a month for Robertson, a 2017 draft pick of the Cardinals who made his MLB debut for St. Louis earlier this season before being dropped from their 40-man roster June 3. The Mets won't provide a clear path for Robertson to see action at the big-league level, but he'll at least add organizational depth in the middle infield for the Triple-A club.
