Siena basketball faces rebounding machine Kevin Marfo the second time around

Graduate forward Kevin Marfo and the rest of the Quinnipiac men's basketball team escaped an approaching blizzard in Connecticut late Friday night. The Bobcats rode their bus up to Albany a day earlier than normal so they'd have no problems getting here for Sunday afternoon's matchup against Siena at MVP Arena.

Quinnipiac men’s basketball enjoys dominant 73-47 victory over Maine, but Kevin Marfo injury casts short-term cloud

The Quinnipiac men’s basketball team pulled away from Maine in the second half on their way to a 73-47 victory. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 6-4 on the season. It’s common for early Saturday afternoon games to start slow and that was the case today. Both teams looked stagnant on the offensive end in the first half, combining for only 56 points.

Kevin Marfo returning to Quinnipiac after one season at Texas A&M

The 2019-20 NCAA rebounding leader is returning to Hamden for his final year of college eligibility. Quinnipiac announced on Monday that Kevin Marfo will be returning to the Bobcats next season after spending his senior season at Texas A&M. The 2021-2022 season will be Marfo’s last year of eligibility after playing for three different programs over the course of his career.

Texas A&M graduate transfer Kevin Marfo has entered the transfer portal, a source told GigEm247 on Wednesday. Marfo transferred to A&M last spring but struggled to find his footing as he averaged 2.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in his lone season in Aggieland. As a graduate transfer this past offseason from Quinnipiac, Marfo was a coveted target for a number of programs but ended up choosing the Aggies due to his relationship with Buzz Williams.
