Kevin Eastman to undergo second competency evaluation

The man accused of killing Greeley residents Scott Sessions and Heather Frank is set to undergo a second competency evaluation at the request of his defense team. In December, Samantha Deveraux and Ashley Morriss, who are representing Eastman in the double murder case, filed a motion alleging Eastman was not competent to proceed. Weld District Judge Marcelo Kopcow was compelled to order the first competency evaluation under state law. On Jan. 11, the court received the results from the evaluation by the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo.
