"Kenna has been an incredible addition to our team and has played at the highest level all season," said head coach Tony Graystone. "She has been at the center of everything we accomplished this year and I am thrilled for her to be named All-Region." Sauer, a transfer from Missouri, helped the Red Raiders to their first NCAA Championship appearance in 20 years, earning All-Big 12 First Team honors in her first season at Tech. During her first season in Lubbock, Sauer led the Red Raiders in kills (364), kills per set (3.34), total attempts (1,167), service aces (24), points (424.5) and points per set (3.89). She ranked second on the team in digs (279) and digs per set (2.56) and fourth in blocks (61.0). The junior outside hitter ranked in the top 10 in the Big 12 in kills (ninth) and points (seventh). Sauer again earned the honors on Oct. 12 after posting back-to-back 20-kill outings against Iowa State, averaging 4.44 k/s. After a double-double of 20 kills, 13 digs in the first match against the Cyclones, she added another 20 kills and a season-high six blocks in the next match. Sauer posted 11 double-doubles with double-digit kills in 19 of 30 outings and double-digit digs 13 times, including a career-high 21 against NC State.
