He also won the 'Best Actor' award at the Festival of Arab and Asian Cinema for his role in 'Shoonya'. Recognized as one of the finest actors in the Indian entertainment industry, he has worked in films such as 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', 'Deewaar', 'Silsiilay', 'Sarkar', 'Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh', 'Corporate', 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.', 'Life in a... Metro', 'Shaurya', 'The Stoneman Murders', 'Gulaal', 'Sankat City', 'Shahid', 'The Ghazi Attack' and 'Vodka Diaries'. While he primarily works in Hindi movies, he has also worked in Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi and Telugu cinema. Early on in his career, he had earned praise for his portrayal of a young Prime Minister on the television series 'Pradhan Mantri'.

Director Neeraj Pandey on Friday announced that he is creating Special Ops Universe, which will be a multi-series. Actor Kay Kay Menon will return as agent Himmat Singh in Special Ops 1.5. “‘Special Ops’ was conceptualised as a universe which will go beyond the regular narratives of linear seasons and conventional storytelling; and the ensemble of cast and characters does lend itself extremely well.
