SIOUX CITY -- Briar Cliff University recently announced that Dr. Daniel Jung is the new Director of the Compass, effective July 25. Jung is an associate professor in the biology department and has built several connections with students, faculty, staff, and the community over his tenure, according to a press release from Briar Cliff.

Tigers Assign Jung to West Michigan

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Detroit Tigers have signed their top choice from the amateur draft held earlier this month and assigned him to the West Michigan Whitecaps. Jace Jung is an infielder who played in college at Texas Tech. LUBBOCK, Texas – On Sunday night, Texas Tech's Jace Jung became the third first-round Major League Baseball Draft pick in program history as he was selected 12th overall by the Detroit Tigers. The sophomore infielder from San Antonio, Texas joins his brother Josh Jung (8th, Texas Rangers/2019) and Donald Harris (5th, Texas Rangers/1989) as Red Raiders to be first-round MLB draft choices.
