Sullivan County Detective Sgt. Josh Stewart passes away from COVID-19

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WCYB) — Sullivan County Detective Sgt. Josh Stewart passed away Monday from COVID-19, according to a Facebook post made by the sheriff's office. Stewart joined the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office in 2008 as a corrections officer. He later moved to the Patrol Division and then the Criminal Investigations Division. He was eventually promoted to the rank of Sergeant in CID in September 2020.
