After miring through and up and down (but mostly down) last few seasons around Major League Baseball, former Dodgers outfielder Josh Reddick found himself needing to travel far to continue his playing career. The 2017 World Series champion announced that he inked a deal with the Perth Heat down under in Australia.
The Perth Heat of the Australian Baseball League announced that veteran outfielder Josh Reddick has signed a one-year contract. Reddick is currently playing in the Mexican League, and he’ll join the Heat later this year closer to the start of the 2022-23 ABL season in November. Back in February,...
Jose Altuve, Josh Reddick and Tony Kemp were the three players with the 2017 Astros who didn't want to use the trash can-banging system while they were hitting.
MONCLOVA, Coah. — Josh Reddick's professional baseball career isn't over yet. The longtime big league outfielder has signed with the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League. The Effingham County native was formally introduced by the team Friday. It's Reddick's first stint in Mexico after spending the past thirteen...
Longtime big league outfielder Josh Reddick signed with the Acereros de Monclova of the Mexican League earlier this month, according to a club announcement. It’s the first stint in Mexico for the left-handed hitter, who has spent the past thirteen years at the MLB level. Reddick, who turned 35...
The past few years have not been kind to Josh Reddick. The former Oakland A’s outfielder had a strong first year in Houston in 2017, but saw his production steadily decrease in each subsequent year. After being released by the Diamondbacks last season, he spent two weeks in the Mets’ minor leagues before being let go once more.
2021 Stats: 158 PA, .258/.285/.371 = .656 OPS, 76 OPS+, -0.4 bWAR. 2021 Earnings: $310,464 (per Spotrac) I don’t think Reddick will need much of an introduction. At the end of 2020 he wrapped up a 4 year/$52,000,000 contract with the Houston Astros. That is pretty awesome for a guy that has a lifetime OBP and OPS+ of just above average and carries a nickname of Mr. Irrelevant.
Outfielder Josh Reddick poked fun at his former team, the Houston Astros, and their infamous cheating scandal with a picture that showed Freddie Freeman getting showered with golden confetti, which people thought was a “buzzer” on Reddick.
Dodgers fans will never forget how the Houston Astros stole their opportunity to win a title in 2017. If that wasn’t apparent before, it was definitely made clear when fans finally got their opportunity to let them hear it in person earlier this year. You certainly can’t blame them, especially...
It's difficult to blame Dodger fans for their continued anger. Due to the nature of how the scandal was discovered, and how the players were granted immunity, there is no real closure for Dodger fans. The report's truths are all based on how truthful the players who admitted to it were willing to be. When you catch someone in a lie or a conspiracy, it is unrealistic to believe only what they're willing to admit to. This is especially upsetting when it is apparent that those players are unrepentant.
Josh Reddick currently is out of baseball, but Astros fans gave him the royal "Woooo!" treatment when they spotted him at Monday night's game. Reddick and his wife Jett attended the game against the Mariners with front row seats in Minute Maid Park's Diamond Club near the Astros' on-deck circle. Once Reddick was shown on the video screen between innings, fans shouted out his trademark Ric Flair celebration throughout the rest of the game, which the Astros won 11-2.
