When the New Orleans Pelicans finally traded Anthony Davis, to the Los Angeles Lakers of course, Josh Hart was one of the players who came back to the Pelicans in the deal. Now, according to Chris Fedor of, Hart would like a fresh start on another team. Specifically, Fedor put Hart on a list of names the Cavaliers may target.

Pelicans' Josh Hart: Resumes shooting

Hart (thumb) said Monday that he's been cleared to resume light shooting on the court, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Hart was sidelined for the final 25 games of the Pelicans' season after requiring surgery on his right thumb, but he should be in store for a relatively normal offseason once he gains full medical clearance in the next few weeks. The 26-year-old wing wrapped up his second season in New Orleans with averages of 9.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 28.7 minutes per game over his 47 appearances.

Pelicans' Josh Hart: Return timeline unclear

Hart is no longer sporting a splint over his surgically-repaired right thumb, but he remains without a clear timeline to return to the court, Andrew Lopez of reports. Pelicans head coach Stan Van Gundy said April 24 that Hart likely wouldn't be ready to return to action until the final 10 days of the regular season, but that time has now arrived without New Orleans having provided an update on the 26-year-old. After Tuesday's loss to the Warriors, the Pelicans will have two days off before returning to action Friday in Philadelphia, so Hart would theoretically have a couple chances of test out his thumb in practice. Hart hasn't played since April 1 after being diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right thumb.

Josh Hart or Lonzo Ball: Which one should the Pelicans keep?

Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart have both been very good for the New Orleans Pelicans this season. Both are currently injured and will be entering restricted free agency once the season is over. I am personally a fan of both players and hope the Pelicans keep find a way to keep them.
