Jordan Larsson to Celtic - not happening

Not one for saying ‘I predicted it’ (Except I am, constantly) but.....I predicted it. Many got a bit carried away with the initial speculation a few days ago, and that’s really all it was until it was confirmed his agent had stated Celtic were seriously interested in the striker, who is available on a free transfer.

Incredible Jordan Larsson to Celtic transfer update emerges

Celtic could be in need of a striker this summer if Albian Ajeti does end up sealing a move away from the club, after struggling to make his mark at Parkhead, after joining from West Ham United a couple of seasons back. The Hoops do have a couple of wonderful options in Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis already, but both have had their fair share of injury problems.

Russian media make fresh Jordan Larsson to Celtic transfer claim

Celtic have been linked with Jordan Larsson in the past as well. He had enjoyed a spectacular 2020/21 campaign with Spartak Moscow and back then he was rated at a transfer fee around £15 million. Thus, it is easy to understand why a move to Parkhead did not end up materialising last summer. The picture is very different now though.

Sky Sports man delivers massive Jordan Larsson to Celtic update

Celtic have two brilliant options up front right now in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis. The Japanese striker arrived from Vissel Kobe last summer and has taken Scottish football by storm, playing a key part in the Hoops’ Premiership as well as League Cup triumph. On the other hand, the Greek striker made a poor start to life at Parkhead but came into his own in the second half of the campaign, and showed why he had topped the Eredivisie scoring charts.

There are absolutely no credible links to Jordan Larsson signing on at Celtic, as The Celtic Star pointed out this morning, after his release by former club Spartak Moscow. But if Celtic do nothing else they should be picking up the phone to his representatives and ensuring they are part of the conversation as to where the player may next ply his trade.

Celtic receive massive Jordan Larsson transfer boost

In many ways, Jordan Larsson would be a dream signing for Celtic. Firstly, because he is a very good player on his day. In the 2020/21 campaign, the Swedish international enjoyed a brilliant campaign. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 15 goals and provided 5 assists in 29 Russian Premier Liga games that season for Spartak Moscow.

Jordan Larsson talks next club amid Celtic rumours

Celtic have some top class options up front right now in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis. The Japanese star was an absolute standout for the Hoops last season and was arguably their best player when he was on the pitch. On the other hand, while the Greek international struggled in the first half of the campaign, he would rediscover his form in the second half and played a key role in the Premiership triumph. Daizen Maeda can play there as well.

Celtic could make massive Jordan Larsson mistake

Most Celtic fans will know about Jordan Larsson, the son of one of the greatest players in the history of the club Henrik Larsson. The 24-year-old currently plays for Spartak Moscow and made quite an impressive last season. And perhaps naturally, he has been linked with a move to Parkhead from time to time. It would be surprising if he was not.
