Defending North Carolina Education Lottery 200 winner John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 4 Pye-Barker Fire & Safety team roll into Charlotte Motor Speedway with momentum on their side after posting yet another top-10 finish at Texas last weekend. With a sixth-place finish at Texas, Nemechek has now finished sixth or better in six straight races, tying his longest streak of top-10 finishes since 2018. The second-generation driver moved into the top spot in the Camping World Truck Series championship standings after Texas and currently claims a four-point lead ahead of reigning champion Ben Rhodes.

Nemechek has now strung together four straight top-five finishes dating back to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Tex. on March 19. John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 4 Mobil 1 team return to action this weekend at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway after a two week break in Camping World Truck Series action. After the first six races of the 2022 campaign, Nemechek sits fifth in the Camping World Truck Series championship standings, 62 tallies behind ThorSport Racing driver Ben Rhodes in first. The talented wheelman’s three straight top-five finishes (Circuit of the Americas, Martinsville, and Bristol Dirt) have helped him gain three positions in the championship standings over that span. After six races Nemechek leads all Truck Series drivers in average running position (7.453), is second among Truck Series regulars with 85 laps led and ranks fourth in driver rating (99.1).

Welcome Back: John Hunter Nemechek returns for his second race of the 2022 season with Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend in the No. 18 ACME Toyota GR Supra. In his previous outing with Joe Gibbs Racing in Richmond a few weeks ago, Nemechek started second, led 135 laps and went on to finish second, securing his second top-five finish of the 2022 season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

After a fourth-place finish at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway last Thursday, John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 4 Mobil 1 team return to action Saturday night for the second running of the Pinty’ Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway. In last year’s inaugural event, Nemechek started on the pole before being relegated to a 39th-place finish after being caught up in a Stage Two incident.

Nemechek and the No. 4 Mobil 1 team head to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway looking to build momentum off of their second-place finish at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on March 26. Despite being sent to the rear of the field twice during the 46-lap event at COTA, the No. 4 team rebounded for their first top-five finish of the season.
