Joel Murray, Long Beach State work OT to beat Idaho in season opener

MOSCOW, Idaho — It didn’t take long for Joel Murray to prove he could be a difference-maker for the Long Beach State men’s basketball team this season. Murray, a 6-foot guard who transferred from NCAA Division II West Texas A&M, scored 28 points on 12-for-19 shooting as LBSU outlasted Idaho, 95-89, in overtime on Wednesday night in the season opener for both teams.
