New Contract Details For Steelers OL Joe Haeg

The Pittsburgh Steelers came to terms with free agent offensive lineman Joe Haeg over the weekend and we now know the full breakdown of the two-year, $4.6 million deal. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Haeg Banner received a $1 million signing bonus as part the two-year deal and base salaries of $1 million and $2.1 million in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

The Steelers are making a second Saturday-afternoon signing. They agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Joe Haeg, Mike Garafolo of NFL.com tweets. Haeg will come over from Tampa, where he worked as a swing backup and spot starter for the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers. However, most of Haeg’s NFL experience came in Indianapolis (though his most notable NFL play came when he dropped a Tom Brady pass in the end zone last month). The Colts drafted Haeg in the 2016 fifth round and retained him throughout his rookie contract.
