Outdoor writer Joe Butler speaks in the library | People

Cody’s new resident and author, Joe Butler, will be sharing stories and photos from his outdoor career in the Cody Library’s Grizzly Hall on Saturday the 18th at 10:30 am. Butler caught the world record for brown trout with a fly in the Flaming Gorge Reservoir in 1978, and it remains the North American record for fly fishing. In 1985 he caught the world record Kokanee salmon in no time. He will share these and other fishing stories in the United States.

A gathering of friends will be Sunday, Sept. 19 from 4-6 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry.
