Jim Curtin hails Philadelphia Union after remaining only unbeaten team in MLS

The Philadelphia Union now stand as the only unbeaten side in Major League Soccer after week 6 of the 2022 season. Jim Curtin’s side defeated the Columbus Crew 1-0 on Saturday with an own goal by visiting goalkeeper Eloy Room to maintain their place atop the Eastern Conference table and extend their record to five wins and one draw.

Cory Burke and Daniel Gazdag each scored one goal and the host Philadelphia Union defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 Saturday in Chester, Pa. Goalkeeper Andre Blake (one save) earned the shutout and head coach Jim Curtin picked up his 100th career victory with the Union. Curtin became the 13th head coach in league history to win 100 games and the ninth to do so with one club.
