Jennifer Beals objected to being called "master" on The Book of Boba Fett

The actress, who plays Twi’lek Garsa Fwip, the owner of The Sanctuary cantina in Mos Espa, was relieved that producers listened to her concerns. “In the original script, my employees referred to me as ‘master,'” she tells Insider. “I felt in this world I’m creating in my establishment, The Sanctuary, given that I’ve come from an enslaved people, perhaps we can choose better language — something that was more in line with her ethos and vision of her place. And they thought that was a good idea and they changed it to ‘madam.’ I was really grateful for that.” She adds that Boba Fett's production team was “the gold standard” and thanked them for creating “a safe, joyful space for everyone, whether it’s the writers, the actors, the crew, everyone.”

In a recent interview with Insider, Jennifer Beals, better known in the series as Madam Garsa Fwip, discusses her time on set and how open the show’s creators were to collaborating with the actors.

The Book of Boba Fett Star Jennifer Beals Reacts to Garsa Fwip's Death

Chapter 6 was an explosive episode, literally. I think I speak for every fan when I say that The Book of Boba Fett's latest episode has got to be one of the best Star Wars content we've gotten since Disney's acquisition of the franchise back in 2012 and that says a lot. Chapter 6 started off with a major bang, seeing the returns of familiar faces like Cobb Vanth, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, and Grogu and basically served as a bridge to The Mandalorian's upcoming third season.
