'Get it over with': Bibb voters brave long lines on last day of early voting

MACON, Ga. — The Georgia Secretary of State's office says the state broke another early voting record Friday, and at Bibb County polls, it certainly looked that way. At one point, the line wrapped all the way around the elections building, and almost onto Pio Nono Avenue. Even after the polls closed at 5:30, plenty of people were still in line trying to make their voices heard.

Wind advisory for Michigan on Saturday

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for much of Michigan. West winds of 20-25 miles per hour are expected with gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour in southeast Michigan. In portions of eastern Upper and northern Lower Michigan, winds are expected at 20-30 mph with gusts to 50 mph from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Rain moves into parts of New Mexico this weekend

Strong winds will relax as the sun sets tonight. Scattered showers will push north across New Mexico this weekend. A strong jet stream crossing New Mexico brought very windy weather to parts of the state. The strongest winds today have been in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, where gusts were clocked in at over 70 mph around Raton, Clayton, and Las Vegas, with an 81 mph gust at the Wolf Creek Pass. Winds have completely died down tonight, but are breezy along a backdoor cold front entering northeast New Mexico. This cold front will drop high temperatures as much as 25° across the eastern part of the state by Saturday.
