Cannes Sets Mads Mikkelsen, Javier Bardem, Alice Rohrwacher, Agnes Jaoui for ‘Rendez-vous’ Lineup

Fantastic Beasts‘ star Mads Mikkelsen, Spanish Oscar-winner Javier Bardem, Italian writer/director Alice Rohrwacher and French multi-hyphenate Agnès Jaoui will be guests of the 2022 Cannes International Film Festival, taking part in the “Rendez-vous with…” program of artist interviews. Jaoui kicks off the Rendez-vous sessions at the 75th Cannes festival on May 23. The actor/director/screenwriter/singer co-wrote, with her late partner Jean-Pierre Bacri, Alain Resnais’ Smoking/No Smoking (1993) and Same Old Song (1997), and directed the Oscar-nominated The Taste of Others (2000) and 2004’s Look at Me — the latter premiered in Cannes and won best screenplay honors for Jaoui and Bacri.More from...

Dune 2 Set To Kick Off This Summer, But Javier Bardem And Josh Brolin Joked About Some ‘Work’ They Have To Do First

Because Denis Villeneuve opted to only adapt the first half of Frank Herbert’s original Dune novel for his Dune movie, there was concern in the months leading up to the sci-fi flick’s release over if the filmmaker would get the opportunity to adapt the second half. Well, mere days after Dune premiered both in theaters and on HBO Max, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures officially greenlit Dune 2, or Dune: Part Two, if you prefer. Among the actors who will be back for the upcoming movie are Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin, although ahead of filming this summer, these two have been joking about how they have some “work” to do first with their physiques.
