Jason Isaacs Explains Why Daniel Craig Is The Perfect Bond (And It Involves Nudity)

Picking a “perfect” actor in the official canon of James Bond movies is one of the highest forms of playing cinematic favorites. That being said, Daniel Craig's 007 run has seen the most recent actor to play the cinematic super spy resting at the top of many rankings within the Bond fan community. Actor Jason Isaacs couldn’t agree with that viewpoint more, as one of his professional experiences with Craig left him with much admiration, and it involves a healthy dose of nudity.

Post your questions for Jason Isaacs

You may know Jason Isaacs best for playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series – the Slytherin Hogwarts ex-governor and bad dad to Harry’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy. He’s been in plenty of other films, though: as Captain Hook in 2003’s Peter Pan as well as co-starring with Matt Damon in 2010’s Green Zone and Bryan Cranston in 2016’s The Infiltrator. He was extraordinary as Zhukov in The Death of Stalin and as the father of a school shooter in Mass, released earlier this year, and has done sterling work on stage, notably in the first London production of Angels in America. All in spite of having one of those faces that Isaacs himself says lets him travel unnoticed on the Tube to film premieres but still has people “screaming and screaming as soon as I get on the red carpet.”

Stunning art of Jason Isaacs as the Grand Inquisitor in Star Wars

Jason Isaacs is perhaps best known as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, but to Star Wars Rebels fans, he’ll always be the Grand Inquisitor. Isaacs’ voice talents brought a dignified yet terrifying aspect to one of the animated series’ most memorable villains. The Grand Inquisitor was charged with hunting down Jedi by Darth Vader, and Isaacs portrayed the smug joy that the villain took in his task so well.
