James Willis Wilson, 92, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the St. Joseph Hospital. Born July 29, 1929, in Grayson County, he was the son of the late Wayne and Jewel (Wilkerson) Wilson. He was a US Navy and US Air Force veteran and was retired from the US Government Geological Survey. Survivors include: one sister, Maxine Tucker of Grand Junction, Colorado; one brother, Harry Wilson of Raymore, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Bob, and David Wilson and one sister, Virginia Wilson.

James Wilson, age 87, passed away on May 20, 2022, in Medina Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 13, 1935, in Lawrence County, OH to parents Edward and Anna G. (Hedrick) Wilson. James had over 50 years of service with the Carpenter and Joiners Union, Local 212, before he retired. He was also a 50 year member of Medina Moose Lodge #968 where he held various positions. He loved bowling, enjoyed woodworking, and always kept a garden. James a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him,

He is a retired self-employed truck driver that enjoyed driving his eight-teen wheelers across the country. His hobby was working and fixing on his vehicles in his spare time. He is preceded in death by his mother.

Steven "Steve" James Wilson

Steven “Steve” James Wilson, 52, of Athens passed away on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at his residence. Steve was a lifelong resident of McMinn County and a son of the late Ira James and Mary Lou White Wilson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Webb; and infant brother, Jerry Donald Wilson. Steve was a security guard at Flowers Bakery. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Lenore Wilcox Wilson of Athens; stepsons who were like his sons, Logan Taylor and wife, April, and Lucas Taylor; sisters, Cathy Key and Sandra Ariks; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Kerr and speaker Greg Hutsell officiating. Interment was at 11 a.m. Thursday in Clear Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Kerr, Dan Ratliff, Chad Burk, Chris Ghorley, Larry Hope, Shane Williams, Bo Deakins and Wendell Cates. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home. James (Jim) Wilson , a longtime Clinton resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Jim was born in Larkhall, Scotland. In 1962 he left his desk job as an Engineer, joined the Merchant Marines, and sailed the Mediterranean Sea. He later transferred to the cruise line Cunard, and that was where, in 1964, he met his wife of fifty-four years Katherine (Kate). Jim and Kate were married in Wisconsin in 1967 and settled in Seattle where Jim was employed by Boeing. He loved his job and enjoyed traveling the world.
