James Bay on new album ‘Leap’: “It’s a cohesive album, born out of the least cohesive time”

James Bay has announced the release of his third studio album, ‘Leap’. Check out new single ‘One Life’ along with our interview with Bay below. Bay’s new album will be released on July 8 via EMI Records/Republic Records, and comes previewed by the single ’One Life’. Arriving on the heels of March’s ‘Give Me The Reason’, the song is a tribute to Lucy Smith, Bay’s longtime girlfriend and the mother of his daughter Ada, who arrived last October.

Fender teams up with James Bay for one-of-a-kind Master Built Pink Lemonade Mustang

British indie-rock singer-songwriter and electric guitar powerhouse James Bay has teamed up with Fender for a one-of-a-kind Master Built Pink Lemonade Mustang. Taking its name from Bay’s track Pink Lemonade, lifted from his 2018 album, Electric Light, the Mustang is the result of a collaborative effort between Bay, Fender Master Builder Paul Waller and pickup mastermind Curtis Novak.

Republic Relaunches Mercury Records With Post Malone, James Bay

A&R veterans Tyler Arnold and Ben Adelson will run the new-look label as president and general manager, respectively. Republic Records is relaunching Mercury Records as an imprint in the U.S., the label announced today (April 11), with executive vps of A&R Tyler Arnold and Ben Adelson set to lead the company as president and general manager, respectively. The duo — Arnold based in New York, Adelson based in Los Angeles — will report to Republic co-founders Monte and Avery Lipman, and will have a big purview right out of the gate.

James Bay cancels two US gigs due to viral infection

James Bay has cancelled a pair of shows in the US after being advised not to travel or sing for "another week".
