Our 2021 holiday spectacular with ‘Big Al’ Anderson, Jim Chapdelaine, Illeana Douglas, and friends

Every year since 2014, we’ve done some version of this show. Ideally, we’d do it in person, but these aren’t ideal times. But our holiday spirit remains, dauntless. “Big Al” Anderson and Jim Chapdelaine and the band are back together over at Jim’s studio. Colin’s hermetically sealed up in our studio. We sing some songs, tell some stories, have some surprise celebrity cameos, and somehow we wind up with a holiday special.

Martha Plimpton replaces Illeana Douglas in Pittsburgh production of TV series 'Sprung'

IMDB TV series “Sprung” only recently began filming in Pittsburgh and there’s already been a major shakeup to its core cast. The single-camera comedy comes from Greg Garcia, the creator of sitcoms like “My Name is Earl” and “Raising Hope.” It stars Garret Dillahunt as Jack, a man trying to turn his life around after serving more than two decades in prison. Phillip Garcia is playing his former cellmate and Illeana Douglas was set to play Jack’s mother, Barb.

IMDb TV orders Greg Garcia's pandemic-set comedy Sprung, starring Garret Dillahunt and Illeana Douglas

The My Name is Earl and Raising Hope creator's Sprung, also starring Philip Garcia, follows "Jack (Dillahunt), a convicted criminal who is determined to change course and reclaim his lost years after serving more than two decades in prison, according to Deadline. "With no place to live post-release, and a global pandemic bringing the world to a virtual standstill, Jack moves in with his former cellmate Rooster (Phillip Garcia), Rooster’s mom Barb (Douglas), and Jack’s former prison girlfriend Gloria. Bound by their marred past and unusual living circumstances, they decide to start righting some of society’s wrongs, targeting those people selfishly taking advantage of others during the pandemic." Sprung marks Garcia and Dillahunt's third series together after Raising Hope and TBS' The Guest Book.
