Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer is a German film score composer and record producer. He has been one of the most popular and prominent film score composers in Hollywood since the late-80s. In a career spanning over 40 years, Hans has composed music for more than 150 films. Having scored music for acclaimed films like ‘Gladiator,’ ‘The Lion King,’ ‘Inception,’ ‘Interstellar,’ ‘Dark Knight Trilogy,’ and the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film series, he is one of the most revered music composers in the American film industry. Often collaborating with some of the greatest filmmakers in Hollywood, Hans has developed a knack for elevating movie scenes with his impressive background score. He moved from Germany to the UK, and then to the USA and brought with him his unique style of music, which contributed greatly to the overall mood and feel of the films that he worked on. He integrates electronic music with the classic orchestral arrangements and creates magic out of it. His association with major Hollywood filmmakers, especially Christopher Nolan, has proved to be a major success. Over the course of his illustrious career, Hans Zimmer has been honored with many awards, such as the ‘Grammy Awards,’ ‘Academy Award,’ and ‘Golden Globe Awards.’ He was also named in The Daily Telegraph's list of 'Top 100 Living Geniuses.' He is the founder of 'Remote Control Productions' and heads the film music division at 'DreamWorks’ studios.
