R-ace GP’s Hadrien David ends FREC’s first 2021 test at Imola on top

Hadrien David ended Formula Regional European Championship’s pre-season Imola test on top after setting the fastest lap of the week in the final session. Thursday’s two sessions were frequently interrupted, the first red flag stoppage being caused by Tommy Smith (JD Motorsport) getting stuck in the Turn 2 gravel. Next up was Elias Seppnanen (KIC Motorsport) with technical problems stopping his car at Turn 12, and then Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport) with a crash at Turn 20.

Hadrien David heads 32-car field on day one of FREC test at Imola

R-ace GP’s Hadrien David was fastest in both sessions on the opening day of Formula Regional European Championship’s official pre-season test at Imola. The first red flag of the day came within the first hour of running, at which point David was at the top of the times with a 1m39.547s, with 12 other drivers within a second of his pace.

Hadrien David joins R-ace GP for Formula Regional Europe

Former Renault Sport Academy member Hadrien David will drive for R-ace GP in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. David won the French Formula 4 title during his maiden season of single-seater racing in 2019, earning a place on the Renault academy as he stepped up to the Formula Renault Eurocup last year.
