Greg Kurstin
Gregory Allen Kurstin (born May 14, 1969) is an American record producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. He has been associated with releases which have cumulatively sold more than 85 million albums worldwide. He has won seven Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) in 2017 and 2018. Kurstin co-wrote, produced and played most of the instruments on the record-breaking 2015 Adele single "Hello". Among others, he has worked with Sia, Beck, Kelly Clarkson, Paul McCartney, Pink, Zayn Malik, Lily Allen, and the Foo Fighters. He often plays guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, and engineers and programs the records he produces. Kurstin began his career as a jazz pianist and later co-founded Geggy Tah. He has collaborated with Inara George in The Bird and the Bee since 2004.

The Foo Fighters’ newest, “Drugs at Midnight,” just isn’t a product of the pandemic. Though the band was holed up in a home recording it — a rented property within the hills above the San Fernando Valley — COVID didn’t play a task for the reason that album was accomplished forward of the March 2020 lockdown. And whereas followers needed to wait extra-long for its delayed launch (the final Foo Fighters album, “Concrete and Gold,” got here out in 2017), they received in return the shortest full-length within the band’s catalog, clocking in at 36 minutes.
