Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne says he will not be a candidate for Pac-12 commissioner

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne will not take the vacant Pac-12 Commissioner job, he told Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News. Byrne had been a long-rumored candidate since Larry Scott announced in January he would step down at the end of June. Byrne said that he was enjoying being “part of a special time” as Alabama men’s basketball is set to play in the Sweet 16.
