Rep. Glenn Rogers discusses making rural Texas count

From 2010 to 2020, the population of Texas grew by more than 4.5 million people, making our state the second-most populous and fastest growing state in the country. Our cities are growing at an incredible rate. Because of this, many people often overlook the importance of rural Texas to our state. Many see a divide between urban and rural Texas, with the two having vastly different and conflicting interests. However, I believe that as rural Texas goes, so goes all of Texas. Let me explain.

Rep. Glenn Rogers discusses public education in Texas

I’ve been around public education my entire life. My mother was a high school history teacher in Graham. I served on the school board when my children were in school. I’ve spent time as a tenured professor at the university level, as well. Education has been a very important and central part of my life.

RONAN — Glenn Emanuel Rogers fell asleep on Dec. 11, here on Earth and awoke next to Angels. He was accompanied on this journey by a band of angels that included: his parents, Emanuel and Marie Rogers; his brother, Allen Rogers; his two sons, Glenn Raymond and Mark Lee James; and his wife of 50 years, Vicki Rogers.
