Rutgers football offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson and defensive backs coach Fran Brown have been given raises and extensions per a report from James Kratch of NJ Advance Media. According to the report, Gleeson will make $1,000,000 in 2021, a raise from his previous contract, which called for $885,000. Gleeson will be the school’s first million-dollar assistant. Brown will earn $675,000 in 2021, a raise of $100,000 from what he was previously scheduled to earn.
Anthony Johnson had talked to Fran Brown many times before. Too many to count. Brown had been there since the beginning, a Camden native building a bond with a Philly kid. Brown extended an offer when Johnson was a freshman and Brown was an assistant at Baylor. Afterward, they never lost touch.
