The ideal Nashville Predators lineup when Filip Forsberg returns from injury

The Nashville Predators just finished off the Chicago Blackhawks, essentially knocking them out of the Central Division playoff race, after going 2-0-1 against them last week and finishing at 7-0-1 against them on the season. But the Preds’ job is far from over. They still have quite a bit of...

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Lands on IR

Forsberg (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday. Forsberg has already been sidelined for nearly two weeks with an upper-body injury, so he'll be eligible to return whenever he's deemed fit to play despite landing on IR on Friday. The 26-year-old winger has racked up 11 goals and 29 points in 34 games this season.

Predators place Filip Forsberg on IL

The Predators placed Filip Forsberg on the injured list Friday due to an upper-body injury, TSN.CA reports. At this point in time, this is just a paper move as Forsberg hasn’t played since March 25, seven games. Before the injury, Forsberg was having another ho-hum season with 11 goals and 18 assists in 34 games to go along with a rating of minus-8. There was even some thought that Forsberg could be traded before the deadline Monday. However, those talks have been put to rest since the Predators have climbed back into the playoff picture by winning nine of their past 10 games. The Predators currently sit fourth in the central division, four points ahead of the Blackhawks and seven ahead of the Stars. The Stars could be a bigger worry as they have three games in hand.

Predators' Filip Forsberg: Labeled week-to-week

Forsberg (upper body) is considered week-to-week, the team announced Wednesday. Forberg has already missed three games due to his upper-body issue and now is slated to be sidelined for at least two more. Prior to getting hurt, Forsberg managed just one goal in his last 11 appearances while also registering six assists, including four with the man advantage. At this point, fantasy players should expect Forsberg to end up on injured reserve sooner rather than later.
