The Wood Brothers, Fantastic Negrito, and Jade Bird are among the third round of artists headlining the 2022 Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, which takes place Sept. 9-11 in Historic Downtown Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee. Singer-songwriters Ian Noe, Arlo McKinley, and Aaron Lee Tasjan are also part of the 2022 lineup announced today.

The Wood Brothers, Fantastic Negrito coming to Rhythm & Roots

Organizers of Bristol’s Rhythm & Roots Reunion unveiled yet another wave of artists signed to perform at the Sept. 9-11 event, and, like previous announcements, the festival includes something for every taste: from the Grammy Award-nominated The Wood Brothers — no, not the NASCAR variety — Fantastic Negrito, Jade Bird and Ian Noe to festival alumni Aaron Lee Tasjan, Andrew Scotchie & the River Rats and the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band.

The virtual concert will celebrate both the power of music and Joni Mitchell as the 2022 MusiCares® Person of the Year honoree, with every dollar of ticket purchased distributed to those in need in the music community. After a year and a half of upheaval and distancing, the GLIDE Annual Holiday Jam: Still We Rise returns as an in-person event bringing the community together for music, storytelling and celebration to support GLIDE’s mission. The singer-songwriter won his third Grammy—for his album Have You Lost Your Mind Yet?—and he opened Storefront Records, an independent record label and community space, at 3431 San Pablo Ave. at 34th St., a few steps away from the historical California Hotel.
