Get to know the duo behind HGTV’s ‘Bargain Block’ and Nine Design + Homes, who are revitalizing the city house by house. In January 2017, Keith Bynum spent his 30th birthday on a redeye from Denver to Detroit, but he wasn’t coming here to party — he was coming to flip houses. “I was randomly following this house-flipper on Instagram, and one day he posted a story saying that he was flying to Detroit,” he says. “Then he posted that he had purchased 10 houses and had a revenue stream of more than $1 million. I thought, ‘Hmm. Interesting.’”

Evan Thomas earns 1,000 career points, Hope men earn trip to MIAA finals

HOLLAND — With two free throws late in the fourth quarter Friday night Hope junior Evan Thomas made history. His final two points of the night pushed his career point total to 1,000. He became the 43rd player in Flying Dutchmen history to score in quadruple digits for his career. It was the icing on the cake in a 94-82 win over Albion in the MIAA Tournament semifinal.
