Avalanche's Evan Rodrigues: Credits with assist

Rodrigues had an assist, six shots on goal, one hit and one blocked shot over 24:02 of ice time in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over Dallas. Rodrigues had time and space to pick his spot but was rebuffed by Jake Oettinger, before Alex Newhook batted home the rebound. The eighth-year veteran appears to have found a comfort zone with his new team. Avalanche's Evan Rodrigues: Scores on power play

Rodrigues scored a power-play goal and had two penalty minutes over 18:13 of ice time in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over Carolina. Rodrigues scored unassisted, taking a loose puck off a battle and wheeling around to beat Antti Raanta for the game's opening goal. It was Rodrigues' sixth goal of the season, four of which have come with Colorado up a skater. After a slow start, Rodrigues has settled in with the new team and has six points over the last seven games. He took more faceoffs than Alex Newhook, as he's been getting more time at center on the second line lately.

Avalanche's Evan Rodrigues: Strikes on power play

Rodrigues scored a power-play goal on four shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Predators. Rodrigues scored the Avalanche's fifth goal of the game. His shot deflected off a Predators player and knuckled into the net. With three tallies and two assists during his four-game point streak, Rodrigues has found some success in a larger role since Valeri Nichushkin (ankle) exited the lineup. Rodrigues is up to five goals, seven points, 28 shots on net, nine hits, six PIM and a minus-4 rating through 12 appearances. He should continue to have chances to be productive as long as he's on the first power-play unit -- he's already scored three times with the man advantage this year.

Making a case to bring Evan Rodrigues to Colorado

As most stories as of late on this site have been, all roads lead back to Nazem Kadri. It seems all but official that the Avs' former second-line center is headed to Long Island. It leaves a big gap in the Avs lineup, including a loss of 35 goals and 67 assists in the regular and postseason.
