The Horror Movie That Emilio Estevez Regrets Ever Filming

Emilio Estevez has had his shares of ups and downs in film and TV. That's bound to happen when you start an acting career at the age of 11. In the 1980s, Estevez's star shone brightly against the backdrop of Hollywood. He starred alongside the late Patrick Swayze in "The Outsiders," and had the lead role of Otto in the nihilistic comedy "Repo Man." He reached official heartthrob status as high school jock Andrew Clark in John Hughes' "The Breakfast Club," quickly reuniting with co-star Judd Nelson on another '80s coming of age staple, "St. Elmo's Fire." By the time he starred in 1992's "The Mighty Ducks" as compulsory hockey coach Gordon Bombay, Estevez had carved out a spot in entertainment separate from his famous father Martin Sheen.

Emilio Estevez Fully Supports Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible Rant

Emilio Estevez didn’t have the biggest of contributions to the Mission: Impossible franchise, and his appearance was essentially stunt casting. The actor wasn’t even credited as IMF agent Jack Harmon, and his cameo was designed with the intention of creating an air of unpredictability in Brian De Palma’s 1996 original, with Estevez being the biggest name out of Ethan Hunt’s support team who all met their demise in the first act.

Review: Disney+ revives that 1990s feeling and Emilio Estevez in charming 'Mighty Ducks' reboot

The 1980s have provided so many TV series reboots, sequels and DayGlo leg warmer nostalgia that multiple generations are convinced the Reagan years were actually fun. Now it's the '90s' turn. Following in the footsteps of successful streaming revivals like "Fuller House" and "Cobra Kai," Disney+'s "The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers" advances the film trilogy about a ragtag hockey team of middle school misfits with a 10-episode run that premiered March 26. Millennials hoping to relive their childhood can expect plenty of Easter Eggs, arranged perhaps in a Flying V formation and delivered with a "Quack!" chant.

Emilio Estevez Regrets Starring in Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive

Starring in a Stephen King adaptation could serve as a breakout opportunity for a performer, especially when King himself gets directly involved with bringing the story to life, but in the case of 1986's Maximum Overdrive, star Emilio Estevez regrets having starred in the picture. At the time of the film's release, few names were bigger in the world of horror than King's, with a number of adaptations debuting over the course of a decade, though many would argue that the film proved why King should stick with writing tales of terror instead of stepping behind the camera to sit in the director's chair.
