Ember Moon is hungry for gold. Speaking at the global press conference ahead of NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Moon responded to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp by saying that she still has aspirations in the tag team division despite challenging this weekend for the Women's Championship. Here is what she said:
Karrion Kross, Raquel Gonzalez, Ember Moon and more set for Global Press Conference before NXT TakeOver: In Your House
The black-and-gold brand's top Superstars will sound off before they face off at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. NXT Champion Karrion Kross, NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez, Ember Moon, Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, Cameron Grimes and LA Knight will take part in a Global Press Conference Saturday at 11 am ET/8 am PT.
Ember Moon has her sights set on becoming a two-time NXT Women's Champion. But before she battles Raquel Gonzalez, she'll try to take out Dakota Kai Tuesday on NXT. While Moon will challenge Gonzalez at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, she's quickly learned that Kai, as Gonzalez's "insurance policy," also stands in her way of recapturing the NXT Women's Title.
Ember Moon has a chance to make history, but she'll have to stop the seemingly unstoppable in order to do so. Moon will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. Moon and teammate Shotzi Blackheart took down Gonzalez and Dakota Kai in Tag...
Powell’s NXT Hit List: Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart vs. Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae in a Street Fight for the NXT Women’s Tag Titles, Isaiah Scott vs. Leon Ruff in a Falls Count Anywhere match, Jake Atlas vs. LA Knight, Sarray vs. Zayda Ramier
Isaiah Scott vs. Leon Ruff in a Falls Count Anywhere match: A very good match and not just in terms of the execution of the moves. Both men played their characters to perfection. Ruff has his underdog act down, and Scott is really starting to thrive in his cocky heel persona. This was a treat to watch and a terrific way to open the show. I’m all in for the new Scott-led faction.
NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver: Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart Retain NXT Women's Tag Team Championship
The NXT Women's Tag Team Championships remain in the hands of Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart, as the pair emerged victorious over Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. After a high-flying affair highlighted by bodies flying everywhere (along with a scary moment where Blackheart dived through the ropes and almost entirely missed her opponents), Moon landed a double Eclipse on LeRae and Hartwell and then Blackheart finished the job with a diving senton on Hartwell.
Top women's Superstars in NXT reflect on Beth Phoenix being a positive influence in their careers. When Beth Phoenix emerged in WWE, the average woman's wrestler in the promotion for typically superstars who made their way into wrestling via a reality competition. Names like Melina, Candice Michelle, Layla, and others all found their way into WWE by trying out on a reality competition series. Beth Phoenix was always a wrestling fan and grew up wanting to be a professional wrestler.

In recent weeks with the NXT women's category, there have been several steps forward, with the General Manager of the yellow show even presenting the first historical belts of tag team champions of the yellow roster, after seeing Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler go to win the titled match against Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, in a very unsportsmanlike way.
Ember Moon thought her career was over after an Achillies injury in September 2019. Moon sat on the sidelines until September 2020 and previously stated that if she underwent a second surgery, she would not have been able to return. Fortunately, she made a return to the ring and a...

In the latest episode of NXT that aired on Wednesday evening on USA Network and which as usual collided with AEW's Dynamite, WWE wanted to give its fans several surprises, such as the announcement of a new championship dedicated entirely to the female tag teams of the yellow show, which will now also have their own titles.
During last Tuesday’s NXT episode, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon defeated Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez to become the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. A few days ago, Ember Moon took to Instagram to reveal that last year around this time she was considering retiring from the ring. Moon posted,...

In the latest installment of NXT that aired on USA Network, William Regal made two very decisive announcements for the history of NXT. If the first, despite the importance, has not really passed into the history of the yellow roster, or the next special event of NXT: TakeOver Stand & Deliver, which will be broadcast on two different evenings, one broadcast by USA Network and one instead by Peacock TV, the second was much more important and concerned the NXT women's tag team category, which now has its own two custom belts.
Ember Moon reflects on making history. On the most recent episode of NXT, WWE introduced Women's Tag Team Championships onto the brand. First being held by Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzales, they would lose the belts later in the night to Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Moon would take to...
Ember Moon made history on last night’s WWE NXT episode as she became the first woman to win the NXT Women’s Title and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. As noted, NXT General Manager William Regal opened last night’s show by announcing that Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez would be the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions due to their recent win in the first-ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. They were then challenged by Moon and Shotzi Blackheart for a match later in the show, and that match ended with a title change.
Powell’s NXT Hit List: Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm for the NXT Women’s Championship, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez vs. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart for the new NXT Women’s Tag Titles
Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole for the NXT Championship: A strong main event title match. Cole looked strong by getting so much offense in, and Balor looked resilient for kicking out of everything that Cole threw at him. Kyle O’Reilly put on his Triple H costume and then showed awesome fire while attacking Cole. I loved the touch of O’Reilly tearing the Undisputed Era armband off of Cole. Meanwhile, Karrion Kross showing up in the ring behind Balor led to the coolest moment of the show. Balor simply asking “What took you so long?” before he turned around was great, and the staredown sets the stage for what I assume will be the Takeover main event.
Dakota Kai has had a career rebirth, both in and out of the ring. One of the things she retained with her 2019 change in attitude was her awe-inspiring finishing move, the Kairopractor. As far as finishing moves go, they don't get much more visually impressive than the Kairopractor. What...
