News Bites for April 28... ...Audacy rebrands classic hits WOGL Philadelphia as “Big 98.1.” Sean “Coop” Tabler remains in mornings, while Race Taylor, from co-owned WCBS-FM New York, and Domino, from the company’s WOCL Orlando are no longer heard in middays and afternoons, respectively. Outside of mornings, the station will run jockless with plans to re-introduce talent in the coming weeks. “We’re pleased to invigorate this local favorite with the launch of Big 98.1, while continuing to give listeners a destination for classic hits throughout their day,” Senior VP/Market Manager David Yadgaroff said in a release. “Over the years, the station has evolved frequently so it plays classic hits for the largest possible audience. The station remains one of the most listened to in the region and we’re looking forward to making further investments in its growth to continue serving our consumers.” Additionally, the Saturday night “Bob Pantano’s Dance Party,” which just celebrated its 45th anniversary, moves to WOGL-HD2.
