Egan Bernal has said he doesn't think he'll be able to win the Vuelta a España this year, but completing the set of Grand Tour victories is on his bucket list. “I don’t know if I can be at the level you need to be at to win a Grand Tour but I’ll be there,” Bernal told Reuters in Colombia, having returned home after winning the Giro d'Italia.

Egan Bernal has tested positive for COVID-19 just days after winning the Giro d’Italia, forcing him to delay a return to Colombia to celebrate his Grand Tour victory. According to a message put out by his personal press team and later confirmed by his Ineos Grenadiers team, Bernal discovered he was positive for COVID-19 when doing a PCR test in preparation to travel from Europe to Colombia on Saturday.
