New manager Donnie Murphy remains hopeful Canadians get to host some games at The Nat

New Vancouver Canadians manager Donnie Murphy comes with his own Nat Bailey Stadium connection. Murphy, a 38-year-old former big-league infielder, debuted in pro ball in 2002 with the Spokane Indians, a rival of the C’s in the old short-season, single A Northwest League. Murphy was in Vancouver, playing with the Indians against the C’s at The Nat, when he received his first promotion, getting the call that he was moving up to the single-A Burlington Bees a few weeks into the campaign.
